Recent Projects

Susanna has a vast portfolio that covers all genres of writing. Since 2011, she’s written for newspapers, magazines, blogs, websites and other publications. She’s published one book and has several more finished or in the works. Below is a sample of her portfolio. 
Since 2016, Susanna has been writing a popular bi-weekly column in The Smoky Mountain News, an independent newspaper outside of Asheville, N.C. She has won several awards at the North Carolina Press Association awards ceremony. Click HERE to find links to her columns.

Susanna’s work has been featured on the Today Show. She wrote a column about mom guilt and being a single parent to her two young boys. Read the full article HERE.

Sustainability and taking care of the planet has always been important to Susanna. She recently wrote two articles for Green Built Alliance Magazine. This first article is titled Macro Heart, Micro Home: BeLoved Village Building Sustainable, Affordable Housing. The second feature is titled Tiny Home Havens: Tiny Home Communities Develop in WNC. 

 

In 2020, Susanna was a feature writer for the high-end luxury magazine, Aspire, published in partnership with Beverly Hanks Realty Group. She served on the editorial team and crafted five of the articles in this year’s publication. To view the entire magazine online, click HERE.

The Jolt Felt Around the World

The Jolt Felt Around the World was published in November 2019. It’s meant to inspire our youngest generations to take care of Mother Earth. She can only take so much sadness, after all.
